Our learning programmes have been developed to meet the needs of the sector.

Training providers can purchase a license for unlimited use of specific programmes of learning. Each license includes a digital pack with a comprehensive suite of resources to support delivery. The content is specifically designed to reflect the needs and priorities of the Adult Social Care sector.

To maintain their license, training providers must either already be quality assured through the Quality Assured Care Learning Service (QACLS) or commit to completing this process.

Eligible adult social care employers in England can claim reimbursement for training costs for qualifying staff through the  

 

Leadership and management learning programmes

All programmes can be purchased on a one year licence agreement. Training providers will be provided with a digital pack containing a comprehensive suite of resources to deliver the programme or module. Find out more about each learning module: 

 

Purchasing options

Modules only:

  • 1 module for £3,000 + VAT
  • 2 modules for £5,000 + VAT
  • 3 modules for £7,000 + VAT

 

CPD only:

  • 1 CPD module for £600 + VAT
  • 2 CPD modules for £1,000 + VAT
  • 3 CPD modules for £1,500 + VAT

Bundle offers

  • 1 module + 3 x CPD modules for £3,500 + VAT
  • 2 modules + 3 x CPD modules for £5,500 + VAT
  • 3 modules + 3 CPD for £8,000 + VAT

Learning programmes 

Lead to Succeed

A practical learning programme aimed at aspiring managers and deputies in adult social care services.

Delivered through five interactive modules, participants will gain an understanding of:

  • successful behaviours for leaders and managers
  • developing a positive culture and effective supervision
  • leading and managing the process of change and the inspection process.

Dimensions is a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviours and complex needs. They identified the ‘Lead to Succeed’ programme as an appropriate and valuable addition to their development pathway.

 

I have a deputy manager who works closely with me. She had not been a deputy manager before so, to help her development, she undertook the Lead to succeed and really enjoyed this learning programme

Well-led

A practical leadership development programme aimed at registered managers and other managers currently working in adult social care services.

Delivered through four interactive modules, participants will gain an understanding of:

  • what well-led looks like in a care setting
  • how leadership strategies and techniques can be used to transform services and improve the quality of care
  • necessary skills needed to lead services in a complex and challenging context
  • goals and commitment to improve your personal leadership effectiveness
  • others experiences by working with them in a range of collaborative learning activities and networking opportunities.

Leading Change Improving Care

Leading Change Improving Care is a practical leadership development programme aimed at registered managers and other managers currently working in adult social care services.

Delivered through five interactive modules and are usually delivered over a four month period, enabling learning from each module to be put into practice between sessions.

It's a great course and I've really enjoyed gaining knowledge in leadership and creating change as well as meeting with a diverse and supportive group of people to share experiences and issues.

Understanding Performance Management 

A practical continuing professional development (CPD) module aimed at registered managers and other managers currently working in adult social care services.

Delivered over one day through one interactive model, participants will have:

  • developed an understanding what is meant by performance management 

  • explored the difference between a traditional performance management approach and an everyday performance management approach 

  • identified where to get additional support within employment 

  • identified appropriate skills and behaviours of a leader when supporting colleagues with their performance 

  • recognised the skills, attitude and behaviours needed to be confident and competent in communicating when having difficult conversations supporting someone through performance management 

  • identified causes of poor performance and how to support and encourage someone to move their position 

  • identified high preforming teams and recognise how to keep them motivated.

Understanding Workplace Culture

A practical CPD module aimed at registered managers and other managers currently working in adult social care services.

Delivered through one interactive module, upon completion participants will have:

  • identified what is meant by a positive culture 
  • explored why a positive culture is vital in delivering outstanding care  

  • considered the relationship between personal values, their organisation values and the values of health and social care as defined by the Care Workforce Pathway   

  • understand why differing values are sometimes a barrier to developing a positive culture 

  • identified how equality, diversity and inclusion underpin a human rights approach and their importance in maintaining a positive workplace culture 

  • understand their responsibility to challenge inappropriate behaviour to maintain the positive workplace culture  

  • review and practice using a variety of tools/models to embed a positive workplace culture.

Understanding Self-Management ºÚÁϳԹÏÔÚÏßÓÀ¾Ã

A practical CPD module aimed at registered managers and other managers currently working in adult social care services.

Delivered through one interactive module, participants will explore:

  • wellbeing and the potential impact it has on their practice 

  • how a level of self-awareness contributes to how they manage themselves and others 

  • what resilience is (and is not) 

  • reflecting on their personal resilience wheel and starting to plan actions to support their development 

  • how the relevant theories and models can lead to greater self-awareness.
